Used Cars For New Drivers: Insurance Group

One of the very first things that a new driver will always look at in terms of running costs will be the bill for their insurance. There is no getting away from the fact that insurance for new drivers can be absolutely horrendous especially when youngsters often have limited income. So the ideal option is to try and find a car which still gives you a little bit of street credibility, but which also is in as low and insurance group as possible. Ideally, new drivers will want their first used car to be in a single figures insurance group.

Some excellent quality used vehicles which we have recently sold in Llangefni include these great starter options:

But one of the most economical we have sold recently is a Peugeot 107 Verve, which is in an insurance group as low as it gets, being in group 1! And so even with zero driving experience you can start building up your no claims bonus right away by insuring this in your own name.

Of course, we do understand that young drivers want a car which is cool and will impress their friends, but it’s also pretty important for you to be able to get out and about for socialising so sometimes you have to make some compromises.
