When you drive your next quality used cars from our forecourt in Llangefni on Anglesey, you will probably have spent a good deal on an insurance policy. But there are quite a few things to bear in mind should you ever need to claim on this policy, or worse get pulled over by the police! It’s very easy to end up with an invalid policy and have a claim denied or your car towed away and you left standing at the roadside.

Here are a few things to bear in mind to help you out:

1. Your address: The main address on the policy where the car is to be kept needs to be up-to-date since the premiums are based on your location. If you move on forget to tell them they may well decline a claim and invalidate the insurance.

2. Modifications: If you make any modifications to the standard equipment on your car it’s really important to let your insurance know. There may not be any additional premium to pay, but in the event of a claim if they are aware of modifications which they weren’t informed about at the time they may well use it as an excuse to decline.

3. Pets: It’s really important to make sure that any animals which you are carrying in the car are properly secured. In the event of an accident where an animal is not secured the insurer will often use this as a reason to decline.
