Following on from posts over the last couple of weeks, where we’ve covered Possible insurance claim is traps after you’ve driven away from our quality used cars forecourt in Llangefni, Anglesey. Here is the last batch to bear in mind to avoid declined claims with your insurance policy.

1. Fronting: Don’t try to save on your insurance premiums by taking a policy in the main name of a low risk driver, with a higher risk driver named on the policy. If the insurer finds out that the high-risk driver is the main user then not only will claims be declined but they can prosecute you for fraud. So you could even end up with a criminal record on this one!

2. Mileage: Some policies are based on limited mileage, so make sure you don’t exceed that or the policy can be invalidated.

3. Other Drivers: if you let other drivers use your car under their own policy, they may be legal for third-party claims, but any damage to your car in an accident won’t be covered.
