Following on from last week’s post where we talked about collecting your next quality used cars from our forecourt in Llangefni on Anglesey. Here are some more things to remember with regards to avoiding declined claims with your insurance policy.

Here are a few more things to bear in mind to help you out:

1. Your commute: Even if you only use the vehicle to commute to work once or twice a month, if you have used a cheaper social only policy they will decline your claim if they find this out.

2. Business cover: If you use your car for any sort of business, even carrying work related materials about you need to check with your insurer whether or not you need to have a specific business use policy. Again, they will use any excuse they can to decline a claim!

3. Minor Accidents: If you have a minor accident but even if you’re not claiming, you failed to report it to the insurer, in the event they find out about it when you are then making a subsequent claim they can use this as an excuse to decline the claim. So make sure you keep your insure advised of absolutely everything that happens.
